If you’ve been referred to Rapport Psychology, it likely means something difficult has happened — at work, on the road, or in life — and you’re now navigating the mental and emotional impact of that experience. We’re here to support you.
A psychological injury is a disruption to your mental health caused by a specific event or ongoing exposure to psychological hazards in the workplace or other settings.
You might feel overwhelmed, anxious, low, angry, disconnected or exhausted. You may also be dealing with post-traumatic stress, panic attacks or phobias
relating to what you’ve been through — all of these are normal responses to abnormal events.
Our goal is to help you regain confidence, rebuild function, and take steps toward the life you want to live.
Rapport Psychology offers telehealth psychology appointments, so you can access care from wherever you feel most safe and comfortable —
usually your home.
We focus specifically on the psychological aspects of injury and recovery. That means we’ll talk about what’s happened, how it’s affected you, and what support you need to move forward.
Our psychologists are experienced in working with compensable injuries and are here to support your recovery, not to judge or label.
You’ll never be pressured to “just get over it.” Instead, we work with you to set achievable goals — whether that’s returning to work, managing everyday stress, or adjusting to a new normal.
Telehealth lets us provide high-quality mental health support in the workplace recovery journey, wherever you are in Australia.
You don’t need to travel, take extra time off work, or sit in a waiting room.
That can be immensely important if you’re finding it hard to drive or use
public transport.
We understand that recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why we tailor your care to your needs, goals, and life circumstances.
We work closely with your GP, insurer, and other health professionals to ensure everyone is aligned and working toward shared goals.
If you’re struggling with your mental health in the workplace or after an accident or injury, you’re not weak – you’re human. Reaching out for help is a strong and courageous first step.
We’re here to walk through it with you.

Your GP or insurer will refer you to us. We’ll then contact your insurer to confirm your details and find out how many sessions you’re covered for.
Then we’ll call you. We’ll ask you to complete some questionnaires and sign a consent form before matching you with a psychologist and arranging an appointment.
When you’re recovering from a physical injury, it’s completely normal to feel emotionally affected — whether that’s frustration, fear, or feeling like you’ve lost some independence. At the same time, mental health challenges like anxiety or low motivation can make it harder to stick with physical treatment or make progress.
That’s why we believe recovery should support both your body and your mind. When physical and psychological care work together, it becomes easier to stay engaged, regain confidence, and get back to the activities that matter most to you.
Yes, it can work very well. Many studies have shown it’s every bit as effective as face-to-face therapy – and that it can be more effective for some conditions, including post-traumatic stress disorder.
One of the benefits of telehealth is that you’re in control of your environment. You can log on from wherever you feel most at ease. There’s no stressful travel to get to your appointment, and after your session, you can ease back into your day at your own pace.
